Inspired by a story by Ruth Rendell, French filmmaker François Ozon invests his clever psychosexual comedy with traces of both Hitchcock and Almodóvar. Young wife Claire (Anaïs Demoustier) has made a promise at her best friend’s deathbed that she would look after her infant daughter and distraught husband David (Romain Duris). One day Claire walks in on David and discovers his big secret, and while initially shocked, she eventually becomes supportive and encouraging to the new BFF in her life.
