Denny Tedesco’s loving documentary, years in the making, celebrates the studio musicians who drove some of the biggest hits of the 1960s and 70s. From “Be My Baby” to “California Girls,” from “Strangers in the Night” to “Mrs. Robinson,” from “You’ve Lost that Lovin’ Feelin’” to “Up, Up and Away,” and from “Viva Las Vegas” to “Mr. Tambourine Man,” the group affectionately called “The Wrecking Crew” played them all. This music-filled delight includes interviews with Brian Wilson, Cher, Nancy Sinatra, Herb Alpert and Glen Campbell as well as “Crew” members themselves, notably Denny’s father, guitarist Tommy Tedesco. Director: Denny Tedesco. (US 2015) 101 min.
