In this warm and sensitive drama, Cobie Smulders stars as Samantha, a dedicated and passionate teacher at an inner-city Chicago high school, who is coming to terms with news that the school is closing. She discovers she is pregnant, and after breaking the news to her supportive live-in boyfriend (Anders Holm) and opinionated mother (Elizabeth McGovern), she learns that her most promising student, Jasmine (Gail Bean), is also expecting. Whether tackling the painfully hilarious realities of pregnancy or challenging each other to look beyond motherhood, Samantha and Jasmine forge an unlikely friendship that will challenge their perspectives and leave a lasting impact on one another.
