Winner of Best Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival, this sharply observed comedy, alternately dark and hilarious, focuses on a unit of young female soldiers in a remote Israeli desert outpost. Sort of a mix between M*A*S*H and Orange Is the New Black, this striking debut feature by Talya Lavie details the absurd power struggles of three women with different agendas and very little to do. Best friends Zohar (Dana Ivgy) and Daffi (Nelly Tagar) are pencil-pushers in the Human Resources Office, where they spend their time playing video games, jousting with office supplies and dreaming of Tel Aviv. They answer to ambitious senior officer Rama (Shani Klein), whose dreams of a significant military career are constantly thwarted by the indolent women under her charge.
