AIDA’S SECRETS
OPENS FRIDAY, DEC. 15
In this moving and heartwarming documentary, the discovery of records from World War II sparks a family’s quest for answers, as two brothers separated at birth discover each other and reunite with their elderly mother, Aida. Two brothers, Izak and Shep, were born inside the Bergen-Belsen displaced persons camp in 1945 and separated as babies, never told of the other’s existence. Nearly 70 years later, the discovery of family records unravels a web of family secrets and leads the brothers to an emotional reunion with their mother, who hid more from Izak and Shep than just each other. In Hebrew with English subtitles and in English. Directors: Alon Schwarz, Shaul Schwarz. (Israel/Germany/US) 95 min.
