Celebrate the work of documentary filmmaker Steve James with screenings of three of his best. James will appear in person with Abacus: Small Enough to Jail, which has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. It will be followed by screenings of Life Itself and Hoop Dreams. Members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences may show their membership cards at the box office for complimentary admission.

It tells the incredible saga of the Chinese immigrant Sung family, owners of Abacus Federal Savings of Chinatown, New York. Accused of mortgage fraud by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R.
