An Audience Award winner at SXSW 2014, this new feature documentary celebrates the music of Memphis and the Mississippi Delta, bringing together multiple generations of musicians and following the creative process of recording a historic new album. Featuring Terrence Howard (who hosts the film and performs), William Bell, Snoop Dogg, Mavis Staples, Otis Clay, Lil P-Nut, Charlie Musselwhite, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Yo Gotti, Bobby Rush Frayser Boy, the North Mississippi All-Stars and many more, the assembled artists recreate the inter-generational, inter-racial and inter-gender perspective that informed Memphis music in its heyday, in the face of pervasive discrimination and segregation.
