For its final production of the season, the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company will present the modern classic by British playwright John Osborne, which will be filmed live on stage at the Garrick Theatre in London. Set against the backdrop of post-World War II Britain, The Entertainer conjures the seedy glamor of the old English music halls for an explosive examination of public masks and private torment. Kenneth Branagh stars as Archie Rice (a role originated on the stage and previously on the big screen by Laurence Olivier), and Rob Ashford directs a cast that also includes Phil Dunster as Graham, Jonah Hauer-King as Frank Rice, Crispin Letts as Brother Bill, Sophie McShera as Jean Rice and Greta Scacchi as Phoebe Rice.
