In this adaptation of the satirical novel by Stephen Fry, award-winning British actor Roger Allam stars as cantankerous, semi-famous poet Ted Wallace, who is hired to investigate strange doings at the country manor of Lord and Lady Logan (Matthew Modine and Fiona Shaw). Also starring Tim McInnerny. In The Guardian, Mike McCahill writes: “It’s a slight limitation that neither Wallace nor the audience really knows what he’s investigating—we’re mostly watching Allam scowling at the eccentrics passing through his eyeline—but it’s still a pleasure, and often a joy, to watch the star measuring out and savoring Fry’s rich wordplay like fingers of scotch.”

Film runs 90 minutes, followed by a pre-recorded Q&A with Stephen Fry, Roger Allam and director John Jencks. (UK 2017)
