Bear ecologist, adventurer, author, filmmaker and TV host Chris Morgan is no stranger to adventure. Over the last 20 years he has worked as a wildlife researcher, wilderness guide, and environmental educator on every continent where bears exist. He is also the Executive Director of Wildlife Media, a nonprofit conservation organization. In this special presentation, Morgan will screen footage from previous expeditions as well as clips from his forthcoming documentary tracing his motorcycle trip across four continents and documenting inspirational stories of bears and colorful cultures in Borneo, Peru, Alaska and the Arctic. BEARTREK is also Morgan’s unique approach to raising awareness and funding for conservation through a project that includes a documentary film, a campaign and a social media movement. Appropriate for audiences 12 and up. Approximately 2 hours.

This presentation is part of Science on Screen, a series pairing film screenings with lively scientific discussions. The series is made possible by a grant from the Coolidge Corner Theatre and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
