This unique documentary tells the story of internationally acclaimed choreographer Ohad Naharin, who created the daring form of dance and “movement language” known as Gaga. A student at Juilliard and the School of American Ballet, Naharin was invited to perform with the Martha Graham Dance Company, but he returned to his native Israel to become the artistic director of the Batsheva Dance Company and developed Gaga within his own ensemble. Eight years in the making, this portrait of a controversial, political and always entertaining figure is a marvelous tale about what it takes to be a genius, about the exhausting toll dance can take on its performers and–finally–about the beauty that art can bring to this world. In English and in Hebrew with English subtitles. Writer/Director: Tomer Haymann. (Israel 2016) 102 min.
