CFI Executive Director/Founder Mark Fishkin, DocLands Director of Programming Joni Cooper, and Programmer Lorraine Hess, will give you a special sneak peek at the DocLands lineup, including documentaries on track for this year’s Oscars® gold, Opening and Closing Night films and our new DocLands Honors Award!

The evening will include a selection of trailers from some of the best independent US and international documentaries, and you’ll hear about the Festival themes Wonderlands, The Great Outdoors, and Art of Impact, as well as the unique industry events presented in DocLife, including DocPitch, DocTalk, and Metamorphosis Journey.

DocLands has searched the globe to bring the best independent and international documentary films and filmmakers to the Bay Area, as well as represent our talented resource of local filmmakers. These incisive, important, and inspiring films cover a breadth of social, environmental, and cultural issues aiming to build an active, fully supportive community around documentary film.
