Every year in the lead-up to the May DocLands Documentary Film Festival, there are a few documentaries being released theatrically — documentaries that we would consider quintessential DocLands’ films, but that will be released before the Festival takes place. Documentaries that shine in terms of story and production value.  Documentaries that fit perfectly into one or more of DocLands programming strands The Great Outdoors, Art of Impact, and Wonderlands. The DocLands Presents series will showcase just a few of these films.

LA LISTE: EVERYTHING OR NOTHING IS PLAYING AT THE SMITH RAFAEL FILM CENTER

Big mountain skiers, and close friends, Jérémie Heitz and Sam Anthamatten, find beauty and display grace in the dangerous world of free-skiing. Follow them as they set off around the world to find the most jaw-dropping, high-altitude peaks and mountain ranges that exceed 6000 metres, and do what they do best: ski.

Featuring interviews with Jimmy Chin, Jeremy Jones and Sylvain Saudan, LA LISTE: EVERYTHING OR NOTHING follows Heitz and Anthamatten as they venture to ski four of the world’s most impressive mountain ranges: the Swiss Alps, Peru’s Cordillera Blanca, Pakistan’s Karakoram range and the Tibetan Himalayas. Director: Eric Crosland (2021) 75 min.
