Spain’s submission for the Foreign Language Film Oscar, and the big winner of that country’s Goya Awards, including Best Film, Director, Screenplay and Actor, this charming Mill Valley Film Festival favorite is set in 1966 in Franco’s Spain and stars Javier Cámara (I’m So Excited) as Antonio, a schoolteacher who uses Beatles lyrics to teach English. When he learns that John Lennon is in Almeriashooting a film, Antonio sets out to meet his hero and picks up runaways Belen (Natalia de Molina) and Juanjo (Armando Espitia) on the way to Almeria and those Strawberry Fields, in a warm and captivating comedy-drama.
