In 1969, the first brief message transmitted over the Internet was sent from a modest computer lab at UCLA to eagerly-awaiting scientists at Stanford University. Beginning with this coordinated launch pad, filmmaker Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man) composes a personal exploration of how the virtual world has transformed our lives, as he travels across the digital landscape with the same curiosity and imagination he previously trained on the Amazon, the Sahara and the South Pole. Through provocative conversations and site visits, Herzog guides us on a philosophical journey through cyberspace and how it has changed business, education, space travel, healthcare and the very heart of how we conduct our personal relationships. Writer/Director: Werner Herzog. (US 2016) 98 min.
