When the Serbian army occupies the Bosnian city Srebrenica, Aida, a former English teacher, works as translator for the Dutch UN soldiers. Together with her husband and two grown up sons she seeks shelter at the UN military base. Protection by the soldiers falters and Aida has to decide how far she will go to protect her family.
