This beautifully wrought film is the touching story of one father’s journey across India in search of his son. Mehendra (Rajesh Tailang) is a chain-wallah, eking out a living fixing zippers on the bustling streets of New Delhi. To ease financial woes, he sends 12-year-old Siddharth to work in a distant factory, but when the boy doesn’t return on time, Mehendra and his wife Suman (Tannishtha Chatterjee) slowly begin to suspect he was kidnapped. With few resources and no connections, he travels to Punjab and Mumbai with hope and desperation. Winner of Best Film and Best Director at the South Asian International Film Festival. In Hindi with English subtitles. Writer/Director: Richie Mehta. (India/Canada 2013) 97 min.
