IS THE WEATHER TRYING TO KILL US?

CHASING THE SCIENCE OF CLIMATE CHANGE

SCREENING + CONVERSATION

TWISTER
On a stormy day in the Midwest, a pair of mostly-divorced scientists and their weather-chasing crew attempt to launch a state-of-the-art cyclone-measuring device into a series of progressively larger tornadoes. This blockbuster 1996 adventure tells the story of a storm-chasing team’s relentless drive to learn how tornadoes work. Will they succeed in their quest, or die trying? Can cows really fly? And what exactly is ‘The Suck Zone?’

Director: Jan de Bont (1996) 113 min.
